To replace a dull bag taper blade:
- Put the bag taper on a table surface.
- Hold the top with one hand.
- Use a flat bladed or standard screwdriver to loosen the screw holding the current blade and housing to the side of the machine. You may be able to loosen and remove the screw by hand.
- As the screw is coming out, the entire housing including the blades will come off of the body of the taper completely. Please take a moment to remember how it goes back on. Consider taking a picture with a camera, in case it is confusing.
- Even though the edges are dull on the used blade still take great care to handle any of the blades gingerly. They can still cut you. Consider putting some masking tape over the edges so that no one gets cut, when you discard the used blade.
- Take your brand new tape cutting blade and place it where the dull blade just came from.
- Reassemble to housing and tighten the screw back onto the bag taper. That's it. Now get back to sealing some bags!
