International Plastics COVID-19 Response


First and foremost, our prayers go out to anyone who's been directly or indirectly impacted by the COVID-19 virus.  We're truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need. We are also grateful to all those working hard to keep our country going through this unprecedented time... THANK YOU!

As individual state and federal authorities take more drastic measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, we want to communicate important updates as efficiently as possible. As the information changes we will update this page and send out updates via email.

At this point, South Carolina is NOT under a "shelter-in-place" order. However, if this changes we will remain open under "Essential Business” exemption status. Based on the guidelines of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the CISA Guidance of Critical Infrastructure, International Plastics is considered an “Essential Business” to our national supply chain. Our plastic bags and packaging supplies are critical for safety and hygiene across all industries; especially food service, hospitals, and laboratories. 

We intend to remain open to make sure you and your customers can continue their critical role through this crisis. As always, we are committed to meeting your packaging requirements and ensuring you get the product when and where you need it. We are operating at 100% and working with all of our suppliers to mitigate any supply disruptions. At this point, we are shipping on-time (as normal) and don’t anticipate any major disruptions. 

The health and safety of our employees remain an absolute top priority. Currently, we are following all Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for facility and equipment cleaning, health screening and social distancing. Rest assured, if an associate shows any symptoms, has been in contact with anyone diagnosed or feels unwell in any way, they are to self-quarantine until they are medically cleared to return to work. 

We thank you for your business partnership and for all you are doing to help our nation through this Coronavirus pandemic. Our mission as a company is still: “To Help businesses succeed by providing complete packaging solutions.” We will do everything in our power to fulfill that mission while ensuring the safety of our employees. Until the COVID-19 crisis is behind us, nothing else matters.
