VCI Industrial Rolls

VCI paper provides a convenient and effective way to protect metal objects from the damaging effects of rust and corrosion. This specialized paper is infused with Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs). These chemicals vaporize and create a protective layer on the metal surface. VCI paper is ideal for wrapping individual parts, lining storage containers, or interleaving between stacked metal items. It's a clean and easy-to-use solution for safeguarding tools, machinery components, and other metal objects during storage or transport.

Frequently Asked Questions About VCI Paper

What is the difference between VCI Paper for ferrous metals and VCI Paper for multi-metals?

Paper treated with VCI, or volatile corrosion inhibitor, is manufactured specifically to prevent corrosion on metal surfaces. There are many variants of VCI paper, such as VCI paper designed specifically for ferrous metals, and VCI paper designed to protect multiple types of metal.

VCI Paper for Ferrous Metals: VCI paper for ferrous metals is specially developed to prevent ferrous (iron-based) metal corrosion. This paper is available in a variety of different weights and sizes. Iron, steel, and cast iron are typical examples of metals that benefit from its use. This particular variety of VCI paper is loaded with corrosion inhibitors, which stop ferrous metals from oxidizing and rusting when applied. The paper emits volatile corrosion inhibitors, which, when applied to the metal surface, form a protective coating and limit the corrosive reactions that would otherwise occur.

VCI Paper for Multi-Metals: VCI paper for multi-metals is more versatile and may be used to protect a larger range of metals, including ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals like aluminum, copper, brass, and zinc. It can also be used to protect a combination of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including a combination of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Because it is manufactured to offer protection against corrosion for a wide range of metal surfaces, it is suited for use in applications where multiple kinds of metals are kept near one another during storage or transportation. This particular variety of VCI paper typically has a wider range of corrosion inhibitors to cater to the various requirements imposed by various metals.

How do you store VCI paper?

VCI paper should be stored in a dry, cool place in the original packaging. The storage temperature should range from 0°F to 85°F to prolong the life of the coating. When stored properly, VCI paper can last up to 2 years.
