3M Scotch 311 Tape has good aging in sunlight and fluorescent light. Scotch 311 Tape holds through wide temperature swings, specifically in colder and damper environments. Biaxially oriented polypropylene backing is easy to handle and dispense. This Box Tape resists abrasion, moisture, chemicals, and scuffing. Conforms around edges and over rough surfaces for a tight seal. Good edge tear and split resistance. Standard width: 48 mm. Adhesion to Steel is 22 oz./ inch width (24 N/100 mm width) with ASTM test method D-3330. Machine Direction Tensile Strength is 25 lbs/inch width (438 N/100 mm width) ASTM test method D-3759. Cross Direction Tensile Strength is 40 lbs./ width (700 N/100 mm width) ASTM test method D-3759. Elongation at Break is 125 percent with a ASTM test method D-3759. Thickness Backing is 1.1 mil (0.028 mm) nominal ASTM test method D-3652. The total ASTM test method at D-3652 is 2.05 mil (0.052 mm) nominal.

Scotch Box Sealing Tape 311 has been applied to fiberboard boxes with good results at refrigeration temperatures of 32°F to 50°F (0°C to 10°C). Once applied, Scotch Tape 311 performs well on fiberboard boxes subjected to temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Store in a clean, dry place. Temperature of 40-80°F (4-26°C) and 40 to 50% relative humidity are recommended.
